After operating within a nationalised environment within the 1980s the Czech Republic whisky industry is enjoying a renaissance with distilleries using practices and materials specific to the region. A combination of local barley, aged oak from the forests of the Czech Republic and clean regional water have meant this type of single malt whisky is totally unique.
