Tasting Notes
Matured for the first 9 years in 80% bourbon and 20% sherry casks, and then returned for the final year into sweet Oloroso sherry casks for a final marrying period. The nose has a rich sherry influence, delicate spices and light peat smoke in the background. The palate is fruity and slightly herbal with more peat influence. The finish is long with subtle spices, sherry and peat.
Distillery Notes
Located on the outskirts of the ancient market town of Forres in Speyside is Benromach Distillery, it's whisky is made using the finest Scottish barley and the purest spring water from the nearby Romach Hills.
