Tasting Notes
Nose: Oak, leather, tobacco, tannin, beeswax. Underlying rich sweetness with dried fruit, raisins, prunes. Taste: Very intense flavour, initially very sweet in the mouth gradually fading to a drier, rich tannin aftertaste.
Distillery Notes
In 1886 the distillery was built on the Glen of Fiddich, Gaelic for the Valley of the Deer. The first spirit flowed from the stills on Christmas Day 1887.
