The malt with a little bit of everything. Smoke, salt, fruit, oak. A well crafted whisky for sure.

A fantastic, easy going malt. Lovely honeyed subtleties on the palate and, it is true, you really can taste the salty coastal air in a dramful of
this.

more reviewsA mellow Whisky with finesse and subtlety. Nosing this without Water: Tobacco notes/Musty Cigar Boxes – Cork Smoke, Cedar/Sandal WoodrnWith Water:
Immediate Sweetness. Marmalade, Mellow not overly assertive. Honey, Soft Vanilla and cold Custard. Coconut Husks and Ambrosia Rice Pudding. Traces of
Malt come through slowly. though initial mouth feel is full on, this quickly subsides as you get used to it. Some sharpness/robust spicy dryness.
Astringent drying pine-like wood. Resinous and nutty and undertones of Heather/Honey developing with some background peat and apple skins (tannins).
Good and lasting. The woody spicy taste lingers (Cinnamon Sticks), and as the mouth recovers from the drying sensation, smoke -a hint of peat and soft
sweet malt slowly appear. I expected this to be more assertive and peaty, however, I think this is greatly affected by the rich American Oak casking
which has significantly changed the overall nose and taste of this coastal whisky.rn
