Tasting Notes
When tasted 'as it comes' the immense fruit flavours initially burst forth to fill the mouth, this then intermingles with the traditional power and flavour of Laphroaig to give an exceptional fruit smoke taste. This melding of flavours is astonishing as no one taste masters the other. Adding a touch of water allows the many layered flavours to show, after an initial burst of peat smoke that coats the inside of the mouth the sweeter softer flavours come through. These are reminiscent of childhood candies with their many fruit flavours, as varied as pears and raspberries vanilla and black currents and at the end a little orange marmalade. The finish is full, round and immensely long.
