Tasting Notes
The colour is sparking gold. Nose: An initial burst of peat smoke that is complemented by a smooth, velvety, coconut cream flavour. Body: An intensely powerful, sparking peat flavour allied with a gentle creaminess. Palate: A mouth enveloping intensity of flavour that is quite astounding. Finish: Incredibly long and dry.

Located in the island of Islay, off the west coast of Scotland. The challenging climate and the traditional peating process employed by Islay malts produces its bold and distinctive flavour.

This one is for the serious whisky drinker, a bit of a peat monster (don’t try this at home as they say). I am never without a bottle of Quarter
Cask in my collection - modest though it is. Lots of peat/smoke, maritime undertones and that long, dry finish. Wow!
