Grain

Grain Whiskies

Grain whisky by definition can be made from any cereal grains. Before the move towards maize (corn) that is widely used today, wheat, and sometimes oats and rye were used. To provide the enzymes that convert the starch in the grains into sugar, a small amount of malted barley is added.
